anybody out there with a sprayed 1st gen

I just picked up a kit for myself, its a ZEX wet shot and im looking at maybe seting it for a 75 shot since ive read some people up at Accordingly Done are running theirs at on stock motor (internals, fuel and ignition)........ I was just wondering how many of you out there were running the the spray.... I know chris (cocoa) is running like a 125 shot on his 3.5, but thats all im sure of

im looking at getting it installed soon, with colder range plugs to go along with it

yeah, well then in that case ill try to move up to a 100 or 125, are you running with stock ignition, because ZEX says to run a 100 or so shot youre gonna want something like 4 or 5 degrees ignition retard, how did you get around this, if you did at all

you cant, the distributor is electronically controlled. you can not retard or advance it, you'd need hondata, chrome, ostrich, etc.. i didnt control it, i used 2 step colder plugs bkr7e's and ran 92-93 octane gas.. if i was you i'd stick with 100 shot pills, altho i know it will take more i would feel bad if something happend. clman ran the same pills on his f22..

no i didnt have a msd ignition, i would suggest everyone stay away from aftermarket ignitions all together its bad news.

yeah its not really going to do much of anything, i had accels just because i got a good deal from my work.. i had to learn the hard way not to get ebay wires due to stray arc welding onto other metal components under the hood

a lot of people think that the MM reading on the wires is important, higher MM the more silicone around the wire to prevent from stray spark not more conductor for the current to flow through necessarily..

I wasn't sure if you guys had the same issue with your car, as we do with our J series. For us, the ecu will advance/retard accordingly (as we can't do it ourselves either). With that said, I just went with colder plugs, and ALWAYS ran it on race gas to help prevent detonation. (also had slightly bigger injectors, but you don't need them, I just happened to have the extra cash. And it was also only 20cc bigger.

alrighty sounds good guys, thanks alot, ill definately grab some 100 shot pills, im glad to know that the F22 is really that strong....... as for the motor advance/retard thing im sure our F motors can do it too, I mean thats essentially 1 part of VTEC right??

and yeah im running MSD super conductors as well, good stuff, im pertty sure the core isactually 8.5mm, I mean 8.5mm isnt that big in terms of length, in fact its tiny in most anything else

thanks for all the help guys

hey Chris... wanna race when I get this
I swear I wont lose too bad

I'd love to, but can't/shouldn't. I haven't fixed my car (still debating on some things), and it's misfiring (blinking check engine light). I'm going to try and get her ready for the big texas meet in march (unless I have to ship out the engine, otherwise it won't be ready then).

But if you decide to setup a fairly good race, let me know. I'm down to watch.

its all good, I was just kidding, I mean why race when I know the outcome already... I tip my hat to you good sir

i just now got back from a meet, its out in Lake Worth (I clocked it at around 22 miles 1 way) its every other Monday, it would be great to have you along, whatever you may come in, its a great meet with great people of all sorts (alot of drifters though), some road course racers like you as well, so you might enjoy yourself, I guess ill give you a call next time its in....

hell tomorrow (Tuesday) theres one in grapevine close by if youre interested, its mainly a food/dinner meet and less of a car meet, but its all good, 40 cent wings FTW

What was the name of that track junkie from Oklahoma? He was cool as shit. But I forget how long he was going to stick around. I think I remember him telling me he was only going to be in Dallas for a year. He had the M3 (E36) and the S13.

OK finally got this thing in, just tapped the fuel return last night, ran the hoses and all that goodness...... just need to mount the bottle and do the electrics...... the EASY SHIT

anyways, another question for those that have run it, ZEX says I need a booster fuel pump to pull off the 100 shot....... did you guys need anything like that or did you just run it straight up on stock fuel??

I mean I think I can pull it off since the fuel jet isnt that much bigger than what a 75 shot calls for
