Anti Theft took a crap!

Well last night I returned from an evening on the town to find my 97'2.2CL's alarm going crazy. The parking lot attendant stated it had been going off for an hour or so. I turned it off looked for signs of damage, none found. I got home used the key fob to lock the car and within 2 minutes the alarm goes off again. I manually locked the doors and went on in the house, my roomate stated that the alarm went crazy again the following morning so he went and pulled the fuse under the hood. I have put the fuse back in however my anti theft doesn't work at all now. The remote locks work, no chirping sounds while this takes place (which I know how to turn that on and off) then the flashing led light on the driver door doesn't flash now either. Any advice?

You can make it chirp by pressing the trunk button immediately followed with the lock button (the end result is to have both buttons depressed) The trunk will not open and you will see the little red light on the remote come on for about a second or so. Then your car will chirp repeat process to disable the chirp.

Guys, I think I may know what it is.
I had the same problem and it turned out to be the a little rubber nipple that is around the button which goe's in when your car door is shut. Mine was not aligned properly so it was acting as if the car door was opening and closing. Check that rubber nipple on both doors to make sure it is seated properly. My two cents.
