Another Broken Key Fob
Another Broken Key Fob
Has anyone else's remote battery died and then when you put a new battery in the red light comes on and wont go off? The dealership told me that it was broken and to get a new one. I didnt cause i still had one good one. Now i dont have any working ones at all. Any ideas besides buying from the dealership? Does the neat looking TL-S work on a '97? Thanks

I would doubt that the other key remotes work for our cars, but you can try it..? I don't think the dealer is going to tell you yes or no so its up to you or someone else to buy one to try. I have only broken one of my remotes, but that was due to me throwing my keys against a brick wall...Go figure.

When I bought my car (used) niether of them worked very well. And within 2 weeks they didnt work at all. It is a good thing that the key deactivates the alarm too (on the '98s at least). It was still under warranty though, so I got 2 brand spanken new ones, and they fixed one of other ones, too!
