hey all...

today sucked...found a nail in my tire (no biggie really..still no leak and i got home from work)..hopefully will be patched 1st thing in the morning....

BUT....

also my key remote is acting xtra stubborn today..its still working but today i had issues unlocking the door (i have been doing the 6x button press thing and the hold the trunk button and lock at same time etc etc)

i have a feeling if i dont get a new remote im gonna get locked out of my car one of these days with the alarm going off like crazy and not being able to shut it off...

so till i get a new remote how do i shut the alarm off..??i dont want to be stuck outside my apartment building with it going crazy when i unlock the door with the key etc etc

im hoping i wont have a issue in the morning but after working tomorow im seriously looking into disabling this thing till i get a new remote

Sounds like the battery is dying, get a new one at radioshack, I believe if you turn the key twice to unlock in the door, it will disable the alarm

Honda OEM Alarms can be disarmed by unlocking the car with the key in the driver door.

btw...the other night it seemed my remote was totally gone...i took the battery out and stuck it back in..this time i put the round battery cover on pushing tightly as i closed it but didnt close align it perfectly straight..than the remote started to work like new.the red light would come on nice and strong and even worked from a distance.
so i left it in that angle and covered it with some clear tape to make sure if it ever moved i wouldnt lose it..
still gonna try to get a back up remote but so far in the last 2 days its been working great
