Ah just thought I would hop on here and tell my story of the wonderful spanking of the New Eclipse GT's. I live about 25 minutes from work so i usually leave about 40 minutes early since the highway can get congested. It was a nice day here in C Springs. Well while I am cruising along, here zooms past me a Black Eclipse fresh from the lot. I took notice to the GT so i believe that is their 6 cyl model. Anywho I figure why not, lets see if I could mess with him, so at the time I was currently at cruising RPM (about 2200). I know on our models the VTEC usually kicks in at 33-3400 RPMs so I punch the gas. 3 seconds later Im right behind him. We got to the part of the hwy that goes from 2 lanes to 3 lanes so he takes the 3rd lane. I hop back into the fast lane. I get side by side with him going about 60 MPH, then I see him downshift, bad idea, as soon as i saw that, I punch the gas again. About 10 secs and 87 MPH later I let off, cuz all I see now is a black image in my rear view. So i get back down to 60, then he comes shooting past me. By this time there was no reason to prove anything cuz' I already smoked him. Needless to say, I got to work 30 minutes early with a big grin on my face. Man I love my CL. Guys feel free to comment. I am a newbie so be gentle and whoever changed the LED lights on their gauges to blue instead of installing the gauges, nice look, got me thinking of installing red on mines.

 

Good run, Ive never raced a new eclipse, but Im sure they are kind of quick with the 200 horse. Good kill

 

Thanks man, that was the whole reason i honestly ran him. I wanted to see how much we could hang with each other.
