Aftermarket stereo dash kit

98 2.3 CL

I've seen a few threads on here that reference aftermarket head units and dash kits, but most of them either haven't been helpful to me or have photos that are no longer available. I have a single din (kenwood x998) unit.

Does anyone currently have an aftermarket single-din head unit dash kit in their CL that fits well without modification? There are quite a few complaints on crutchfield, amazon, and here about the kits not fitting correctly and needing to be sanded down. I don't mind the "cheap plastic look" but I do want it to fit properly. I'd even pay for a custom made one if I had to as long as it fits correctly.

Or if anyone has suggestions on keeping the oem pocket without just using tape, I'd love to do that.

I have a single din mounting bracket in my closet you can have, shoot me like $15 for shipping and it's yours. It's already been modified to fit the CL. Here's an old pic of it
