After Several Months, Finally got pics of my ride

Hello everyone!!!

I know a new thread shouldn't be started just for this but I've been on this board since March and basically drooled checking out everyone's car while I have to look at mine all warped up. But got it fixed 97% and just wanted to "show off" my car. Not much but just excited that I have it again. Also, I would appreciate comments and suggestions on what more I could do.

Thanks everyone.

Very nice James, and welcome to the board!

I see you had been seriously violated, damn that wreck looked horrible. I just hope the CL rides nice and smooth for you and the frame damage was minimal.

Keep the pics and updates coming man.

Thanks everyone for all the replies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My CL rides extremely smooth, only problem is the right rear wheel has a toe in effect and front right wheel has about 1.7 Deg Neg Camber. Other than that it's still awesome.

I'm hoping to be able to install the springs and shocks myself probably this week. Just need a good spring compressor as others have said.

The BSA Rims believe or not are pretty damn good. I've been over a gazillion pot wholes (common here in south Florida, government is too cheap to do any repairs!!! ) and no bends or any damage to the rims. Only prob is with such a big lip it's just asking for some curb kissin'.

black97CLonbags, thanks for the comments and the suggestion, but do you know what type of paint to use for the headlights? I think that is a really good idea, and we'll find out how it looks, fingers crossed.

Alright everyone thanks again for the replies I greatly appreciate it!

Peace.

yea you can go down to the auto parts store and get the touch up spray paint for your car. my friend and i painted his like a gold color that matched his 97 honda accord and it looked sick...i think white would look awesome...you could be a pioneer!

Looking good so far. Good to know there's another white hooked up CL in the streets of MIA. I'll keep a look out for you.

Hey Everyone,

Just got home from UM and what a heck of a day! It's mad raining down here in Miami.

Again, just wanted to thank everyone for your replies, comments, and input. I appreciate it very much.

It's been a long time (for me anyway) to hear good comments, instead of "your driving that POS beat up car?" There's usually a follow up by me saying, "Yeah, it looks like a POS, but it will smoke your ass!!"

Anyhow, about this timing advance kit... I got off of eBay and obviously it's gotta be bogus! Just that everyone else just says don't waste time and money but no one knows for sure. So I'm just checking it out. Hey for $.50 what can I really expect?

.................................................. ..
Hey dcsquirm88,

Maybe we can meet up sometime and maybe with some others that you know, I really would like to check out other peoples' cars down here. I see too much "stock" down here and too many "typical ole business people" (NO OFFENSE DUSTBUSTER4 AND ALL ALIKE, YA'LL ARE SPECIAL!!!) driving them. I guess it's just how it works. I am actually down in Homestead but commute up to the UM area. Give me a heads up on where your at.

BTW, dropping my car tomorrow and carrying over the weekend if necessary. Can't wait!!!!!

.................................................. ...............
And Brian,

Thanks for the info. Just wanted to know if I had to get any special paint that's heat resistant, but guess not. So thanks. I'll probably do that this week as well and post some pics of it. BTW, do you think you could get the pic of the gold housing? (on the car of course)

I just write too damn much!!! Sorry everyone!

Thanks again ya'll,
James
