Traded her in for an 05 Altima SE-R

I had a really hard time letting the CL go, but the tranny was dying a slow death.

I love my CL and all but I wouldn't feel bad at all to trade it in for that!
Nice Altima SE-R. Sat in one not too long ago. My friend's dad just got one a couple of weeks ago.

 

the engine and performance on those is nice for sure. too bad they look almost like the other altimas cept for that se-r badge and some wheels. have fun with the VQ35 though, they're good engines.

nice. where at are you in STL? I'm in St. Charles. Was looking at a black altima se-r or 02/03 maxima 6 speed before I picked up the 02 cl-s. Nissan sure are good cares...I traded in my 2000 3.0 vq30 maxima. It was indestructable

Im in the Ofallon/St. Charles area.
I had it narrowed down to this and an 05-06 maxima SL, but the aggressive engine and exhaust had me. The whole time i was driving the maxima i was thinking of the se-r.

 

I think the smoked heads and tails, exhaust, side skirts, mpg-oil-voltage gauges are all on the SE-R only. The engine is the same as the 3.5 SE and SL except theyre tuned for 265 or 260hp instead of 250. Oh and the calipers have the SE-R on them. So far those are the only diff i know of.

 

Nice pickup, those SE-R's haul ass. I find myself still in love with my CL though, no matter how old she is or how bad she gets Then again i have a 5spd. What did ur CL look like?

 

Well I've been on this site for like 2 years and have never posted pics. Mostly due to the fact that it was stock. It was a white 97 4x4, but I loved her.

My wife (wow that sounds weird, just got married last week) made fun of me cuz as I was leaving the dealership I stopped and starred at the CL for like 5 minutes kinda weirded out that I wasn't going to see it again. The saddest part is that it will be auctioned off and sit in some ghetto buy here pay here lots. The engine only had 89,000 on it, brand new pads, timing belt, water pump, motor mounts, radiator, tranny mount, altinator (sp) Alpine deck, LED lighting, clear corners, brand new high and lows. Not sure if any of that makes up for the 189,000 original slushbox

 

Nice car, my friend had a black one a while ago. For once a member didn't downgrade when getting rid of their Acura. haha

 

the changes from the normal altima to the SER are subtle but enough to tell that its an SER. I like it alot bro looks nice as hell

 

 

heh, acura is the least luxury of all the premium brands IMO. not like the old days when the Legend was in production.

 

lol ofcourse you'd defend yourself you went from acura to honda. That H22 makes up for all the "luxury" brand shit talking in my opinion, one of honda's best engines.

 

lol w/e. the CL is nothing more than a glorified accord with some plastic woodgrain and auto climate control. Acura just doesnt compare with Lexus, Infitinity. I'm not even gonna bother mentioning german brands.
