Aem V2

Does anybody know what the overall vibe is in the import community about the AEM v2 CAI? Has it outperformed their regular CAI or what?

Honestly I don't see it doing much over the regular CAI, maybe 1-2 HP. I have a friend over at AEM and i'll try to give him a call sometime soon and see what his thoughts honestly are.

Is there a difference in price? Is the v2 the only one AEM is selling now?

they are still shippin the original, but focusin on v2.. my thoughts are the difference even if large are CLAIMED and should be taken lightly.. if you have one dont get it.. if you're getting one go for it.. one being a cai..

but "superchargin effect" my ass.. literally

in super street they did a test on a bone stock 97 civic ex. thats a 1.6L SOHC VTEC.
stock 105.1 @ 6,600
aem cai 109,5 @ 6,600
aem v2 112.2 @ 6,600
they said the best thing about the v2 was its consistant increase in power throughout power band, unlike the reg cai

i will be swapin out my aem cai asap. so ill have my blue cai 4 sale soon.

i'd be real fishy of SS's comparisons. AEM is one of their biggest sponsors. But also, you have a 3.0? Keep me in mind for the CAI

That thing is freakin' massive!!! I seen one in the store the other day.. I couldn't believe how big it was. It looked like it would hit the hood if I closed it...LOL!!!

If you already have a CAI, I would just keep what you got. If you got the $$ to buy another one, them more power to ya.

yea, i can see peopel buying this if they don't have one, but to be selling yours to buy this seems unnecessary to me.

every little hp and tq helps. any1 with a 2.2 or 2.3 will agree. also the v2 makes more power down low where we need it.
