aem short ram/injen cold air extension

I was wondering if anyone has done this combo? Does the injen extension fit nicely with the aem? Is the tube sizing the same? please give any info or insight that you may share. This is for the 3.0.

i dont think it will work cause i think the short ram is curved at about a 80 degree angle, while th cold air intake is gonna do a full 90 degree bend.i could be wrong..but this is of the top of my head

injen has a larger tube diameter I believe so it would be hard to get that to work plus the resonance of the intake would be all messed up.

I just want to get rid of that damn humming noise.....w/out getting rid of the intake. I was just entertaining the possibilities.

you shoulda just gone with teh cold air intake in the first place. I think you actually LOSE hp over the stock airbox with a short ram.

You can get silicone transition couplers and connect different size pipes, if they are shaped right to fit.

I'm just saying tahts' what I heard. I thought it made sense since it would be sucking air in fromt he direction of the engine, which owuld be really hot, and would decrease teh quality of the air, but I guess if there is MOre air then it owuld be better regardless of hte temp of it.

The reality is that the hot air does not linger around the filter for the itake, as im driving cooler air is comming into te engine bay somewhat to keep it running right... if it were up to me now id get the cold air instead but i was just looking for the cheap way out... and i mean cheap... but later i might get an extension, no not a ghetto rigged PVC piping but a real one... i hear the injen extension can fit... well see

well it depends on what you mean by hum. It has a VERY quiet sucking noise at idle, but when I give it a TINY bit of gas it sounds likea really quiet BOV. Kinda cool when I rev it really high, then let off the gas, and it sounds like a BOV.. good stuff.
