That does sound low.

I hope you have a strong battery and Alternator.

hey if the battery is fully charged will the alternator cut down on the power it makes?? cuz at first i had 20 then it dropped to 14 then to 11 then 9 then stayed at like 4-5. the guy there said cuz the battery was fully charged that the alternator cut back. i mean 11 amps sound low to me, but my car functions fine in traffice with the a/c blasting. and my battery has been keeping a 12.9-13volt charge.

According to another topic on alternators a little while back, yes that is the case with the CL's and some new cars in general. Supposedly the car will run off the battery rather than running off the alternator. I'm not sure why or how. Do a quick search for this...

I know there are some topics on this but what exactly do these do? How much hp and torque do you get from them and what are the down sides? Thanks Oh can you install them yourself and if not how much to get them installed?

They lessen the parasitic drag on the engine caused by turning the accessories.

Since the pullies are a larger diameter, they turn slower.

Yeah, how much did the install run you or did you do it yourself?

The pullies on my 2.2 were probably the second best upgrade I've done (next to ignition mod). The install is nothing you caant tackle on your own. The power steering pulley comes off easy (just remember is reverese threaded) and comes with a new ps pump bolt to clear the larger wheel. The alternator was a little tougher couldnt get the nut to loosen with hand tools so took out entire alternator and took it to a nearby shop and they took it off with an impact for nothing. Both come with new belts and decent insructions. See the stock vs new pics here:

i paid 60 to have it done and it took 1/2hr of my time. here is the dyno on a 96 accord.

only prob is i dont know if its a f22 or f22 vtec. even so if it is vtec like we got then we should see the same. if not we get some more upper gain. i still say get them. smoothed my car out. more like a v6 but sure dont sound like one. it might have been all my mods together, but i noticed this after the pullies.
