I'm about to order my AEM V2 intake this week...however, I shall not order it if it is excessively loud. I hear a lot of cars pass me with unnecessarily loud sounding engines. Does this intake sound like that? I want it to sound like a really nice stock car, not a riced out gay car.

Intakes are only loud at high rpms. It will not sound like a ricer muffler.

ya it shouldn't be ricer loud, its more of a gentile hummmmm, but when you step on it, ittl sound like a powerhouse. Its a head-turner, but not an anoying ricer.

wont be loud unless you WOT it...but itll be a nice deep tone..nothing riced out

check out the video in my sig..its a 2nd gen and a regular AEM...but should be similar to yours

the sound is prolly the reason the majority of us got em ... the hp gain is hardly noticible if any

dont get one if u want a stock sounding quite car cause intakes arent quite

i just installed a aem v1 and it sounds nice not ricer but really nice its a nice deep sound just like liloj0414 said

Oh all right. As long as it won't sound riced out. I like that it's not loud at low RPM's. I don't want to drive through residential areas at 25 mph and wake people up.

In my experience the cold air intakes sound alot better than the short ram intakes, But the noise is not worth the HP gain unless you have alot of other modifications. I have tried several different set ups on different cars and I have found that I prefer the sound of a nice exhaust (Greddy, Tanabe, Apexi WS) over the sound of any intake for daily driving. Im judging from the cabin of the car cause I rarely have had the chance to hear my own car from the outside.
