Got it last night and put it on in the pitch dark. I did a little mod work on it as anybody who has one will notice. Chopped the end of it off (about 8 inches or so) and kept the filter inside the engine compartment, and also left the factory resonator in that is usually in the place the filter goes. Not only did this make installation much easier, i think it also made it sound different than a normal CAI. The car sounds like a BEAST now. Up over 5k rpms the thing sounds like it has a complete exhaust on it (when all i have is a custom bent from carx exhaust). I LOVE IT! THANKS TEAMBLURRY! check out WWW for pics (the install wasn't completely done when i got this pics this morning. I cleaned it up a lot and bolted it down where it is supposed to be.

Afterthought: The HP difference is so rediculously noticable. The car feels like it gained 10hp from the damn thing. I wish i had a dyno in the area!

 

Sounds like you turned your CAI into a "long" short ram.

If my camera will get good enough sound i think you guys will be stunned by how the car sounds now. It sounds like its got a damn V-10 cranking away under there! But it only really gets loud when you step on it. Sounds like before at normal conditions.

 

the aem short ram is only 8" shorter. ur inake sounds like a short ram now. makes the growl. ur definitely the only one who i know of who cut their cai and made it a short ram. i can post a vid or sound clip of my 2.2 with v2 this week.
