Adjusting headlights?

Hey all,

I'm trying to adjust my headlights, I read the manual and understand it...the seem to be at a good height, but the problem is on the passenger side it seems the light projects further towards the right adding more light to the curb or sidewalk for instance. the driver side seems pretty good, and I want to adjust the passenger side so it's proper, that area where you use the philps screwdriver to adjust the left to right angle says L or R, I'm not sure which way to turn the screwdriver, so does the L and R represent if your turn the screwdriver L then the light goes away from the curb and in the middle, or does that Left mean the light would be going further to the curb basically my left if I'm standing infront of my car?

The other problem is, the round knobs with the teeth on them that turn so you can adjust the angle from the left to right don't touch eachother, they seemed to have a slight space between them, so how am I going to adjust them when there suppose to roll off eachother, could I do it by hand somehow?

the levels were worthless in mine, i had to point the car at a dark road with street signs on it and do it by eye. think my little gears had a space, too, and i think i just pushed 1 towards the other with the screwdriver so they hooked up for a few teeth every half turn or so...what a pita those HLs are to level.
g'luck

on mine the driver side light's gears touch but the passenger's side dont. also the passenger side gears are loose enough to turn by hand whereas the driver side are firm and require a screwdriver. so basically i can only adjust one side :S i hope you get this fixed cuz it sucks to have shitty lights

sometimes the passenger side is better to have it off a little... i.e. shining toward the sidewalk, because it hits signs better and stuff like that. If you look at Projector lights... the passenger side is always a bit higher than the drivers side.
