Accord Type R

Anyone know the size engine or engine code of the Honda Accord Type R? (The one we don't see over here in the states...) I know its stock 212 hp. Just curious clracer97 got me curious about possible engine swaps... Thanks

it's an H22a7 if im not mistaken. but the swaps go for at least $4,500. thats a lot of money for something that can be acieved with the regular H22.

it's the h20a. it's a sleeved blueprinted h22, debored to 2.0 for higher compression. it's known as the euro spec type R

cconnj, i am not doing the swap any more, i am just going to mod the engine i have now and later on in the summer try to do a type-s swap! you are absolutely right, why would i wanna swap a 4 for a 6? it wuz just a thought tho! what engine do you have now in your car? i wuz also thinkin of a type-s swap before into my cl but i havent dug too deep into this!

no, the motor form the Euro Accord R is not that. its a H22a7. there is no motor called the H20a. you must be thinking of the F20b which came in some of the jdm accords (160hp)
