Accord Hoods????

Accord Hoods????
Anyone ever tried aligning an Accord hood (whichever year) onto the CL? If so, which one do you believe would require less modifications the 98+'s or the 97-'s.
I know someone here before mentioned that the 97 Accord hoods would basically get smaller on the sides - that is moving up toward the windshield.
I'm not too worried about the length just the width if it aligns fine with the CL's fenders then it'll be perfect. I'm just trying to be different yet find a cheaper alternative than to search for CL hoods. They are hard to come by and if they do they are in the $300+ range.
Someone please shed some light on the matter.
