Acceleration?
Acceleration?
well i have close to 90,000 miles on my car and the sparks or anything along that line has not been changed yet. My car seems to have some lag when it accelerates so i'm thinking it has to do with the wires and all. I'm definitley gettin new sparks and wires and rotors but do i need a new distributur cap. And also do i need a new distributor???
Normal scheduled maintanence on our 3.0s is 105,000 miles.
If you're going to change the spark plugs and wires, you might as well change the distributor cap and rotor.
You shouldn't need a new distributor (unless you know it's bad).

My 1998 3.0 CL has had a perceptible lag in acceleration when suddenly giving it throttle since the day it rolled out the back door of the factory. I am certain that the lag is caused by the hunk of crap they call a transaxle and not the igntion system (wires, plugs, etc.). This is the single biggest complaint I have had with this vehicle and probably will steer me away from another Acura product. It also recently catastrophically failed to the tune of $1400.00 for the rebuild.
