I was told that before turning the car off it is better for the car if you turn the AC off first. Is this at all true? During these hot summers I like to have the AC full blast and really dont like turning it back on every time I start up my car. Thanks!

 

yea i heard that too.. i think it is true...

 

I turn the A/C off like a minute before I shut the engine down so it doesn't smell when you turn it back on later.

Yea its also less strain to start cause youre not trying to power the compressor

 

I really can't see what good it does to turn off the a/c first. Also, as far as starting is concerned, on my 03 CL, the a/c compressor engages about ten seconds after starting the engine.
