ABS question
ABS question
I know our cars have 4-wheel ABS and all, but how many channels does it have, i.e. how independent is the system?
Thing is, yesterday some idoit girl decided to run an implied stop sign and darted in front of me in a parking lot, so i had to slam on the brakes. The front wheels behaved as i thought they would, not locking up, as ive never tested the ABS on dry pavement, only on snow. But the back wheels definitely locked up, as I heard them squeal. Why did this happen?

cause ur lighter in the back than the rear. and the front brakes are like 75% of the stopping power. there is also a metering valve which makes the rear brakes begin to stop faster once brakes are applied. its pretty hard to lock up the front brakes (not impossible) but hard enough to do. hope this helps
