Question ? about F23 Turbo

I've been doing alot of searching threw this forum and Accord forums, and I was curious if anyone has been able to turbo a F23 and still keep the A/C??

The problem was the downpipe didnt allow clearance (too far right) for the metal AC line on the hot side of the AC compressor. If you custom fabbed a manifold or a downpipe you could fit it. I looked into getting a custom AC line made and only one place was willing to attempt it and it was going to be expensive, so I would avoid that route.
I'm trying to get as much information as possible so that by Summer '07 I should be boosted. (would be sooner but you all know the situation)

Current setup I'm looking at:

Garrett T3/T04E 57Trim .60a/r Compressor .63a/r Turbine
MaxRev Turbo Manifold (says to be A/C compatible)
Tial 38mm Wastegate w/ dumptube
TurboXS BOV
Spearco FMIC
AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator
Walbro 255LPH High Pressure Fuel Pump
440cc Injectors

thats not everything, but basically what I'm lookin at. Any tips or advice??
keep your "you should just get an H22" comments to a minimum please...

If your main concern is about A/C clearance, just make sure you get an A/C compatible manifold.

The T3/T04E is a nice turbo. The way i see that kit, is an "economical" upgrade. You can make extra power, but only to an certain extent because that "kit" is very limited as to a complete (well put together) turbo system. If you wanted to make more power, I'd reccomend first considering how much money you have to play with, and secondly how much power you'd like to make.

For starters thats the basics of a setup that I'm getting. It's not a pre-fab kit. A company out of Fargo, ND is helping peice it all together. My idea of how much power I would like to make is 190-230whp. I'd be happy with that for a year or so than maybe convert to a H22. Money isn't much of an issue. I'm bankin about $2000 a month into my savings while I'm in Iraq (the reason for the car not getting boosted till '07), but I don't wanna spend all of the money I'm saving on my car cause the plan is to use part of it on a down payment for a house.

Every manifold i have seen for the F23 is "AC compatible", as in the manifold itself does not get in the way of the AC system. If you are getting a downpipe made you shouldnt have a problem fitting it. I didnt get this done until I got the h22 swap.

You may want to look at a smaller turbo since the F23 redlines at 6250, but that one will make good power. Also, get bigger injectors. The 550cc are only about $10 more for RCs and if you do build or swap your motor you will want more fuel.

BTW I have a pretty sweet deal on the AEM FPR for the F23 over in the black market (at this point its a couple pages back)

Is an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator really neccessary for a turbo application like that?

No, but it helps to be able to set idle fuel pressure.

My new turbo is a Precision SC6031b .48AR and it spools way faster than the Turbonetics one I had. There is a lot of good info on turbo sizing on honda tech.

Stand alone is definately worth it for power and reliability (its cheaper to tune it right than to break something using a band aid such as an FMU or VAFC). By the time you make the modification to run hondata (modify throttle body to accept an OBDI IACV + buy an OBDI IACV) you have spent almost as much as the EMS costs so you might want to go that route.
