I on't believe it but I found out that an audi a4 chipped, will beat a 3.0 cl. Easily. Will even stay with a cls, he auto anyway. A 1.8 liter turbo.

i admit that i'm a bigger fan of audis.
i began interested with acuras because my
fiance purchased the 2.3cl two years ago.

with enough money.... the A4 1.8t can be tuned
to be just as lethal or more than the S4.

i wish i was able to get that A4 last summer....


maybe i should have skipped the ring and wedding plans,
and bought myself an audi.

A6 is a bigger heavier car and you probably ran into the 2.8 A6 that only has 200hp, so you should beat him.

well stock the 1.8 A4 only makes 170 hp and does 0-60 in 8.4secs but with a chip adding 40hp or more they can beat us.

Bullshit...I raced a stock A4 1.8T and tore him the fuck up. TaxiDriver was in his Type S to verify. Maybe with mods, but stock for stock 3.0 wins hands down.

Also beat the A4 2.8 version.

Zarin has footage of it. His S4 was very very well known. That race made him sell his S4 and start up his project Jetta. Bitch got owned. I believe TurboSupra has the video on his computer if you want it.

a stock 3.0 vs a stock A4 will definitely win, i raced a friend's A4 and i was pulling on him mad, the reason for this was "shiftin at 3rpm", which i doubt cuz I heard a lil roaring goin on in that little engine

Chipped A4 is different. The chip changes the boost, but not sure how it would fare. The jetta is a much lighter car with the same engine. I'm sure a chipped jetta will kill the CL, 3.0 and Type S alike. Dunno about the A4 though. They're much heavier.

ALRIGHT THATS IT!! I WANT A 40HP CHIP FOR THE CLS JUST LIKE THE AUDI!! Someone get on the phone! Whoever makes the Audi chip, tell them we want a group by...do somethin...we need a chip! If the a4 can kill us with one, be need to have some backup and kick the a4's ass...Is there anyway we can get a chip? (atlease for the 3.0?)

I still don't think the A4s can beat us. Only reason they get 40 HP is cause of the 1.8T engine, so the chip basically just raises the boost. Voids the warranty right away. But even with that 40 HP, what...that makes it a grand total of 210HP? on a heavier car...4 door sedan at that. The 2.8s can't hang no matter what you do with them. I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. We beat them high end no matter what. Just can't replace displacement on top end. Just like how my slowmatic j30 has been beating those H22As everyone's been raving about. From a stop may be a different story. But just mash the pedal and don't stop till you pass him.

I dunno if a chipped a4 1.8 can keep up w/a cl-s. I was in my friend's 1.8 and a cl-s w/ a comptech exhaust dusted us. It wasn't even close.

MY H22a in my car rips the piss outta the 3.0 cl.

multiple times have i seen the accord V6, the 3.0 cl, and gt mustangs get ripped by my boys H22a in his accord....and all he has in it is intake and exhaust.

everyone is always yappin about there 3.0 and how fast it is. it isn't that fast except for like dustbuster putting the cams in, headers. and everything else that actually makes it alot quicker.

Of coarse when you put nos in that thing the 6 cylinders just rip, but get ya shit straight.

All you can really do with the ecu on a 3.0 is get a stand alone fuel management system or a piggy back.

the chip for the a4 pretty much just increases the boost on the turbo.

you can get a haltech for the 3.0.

alright bro, i'm sorry but i saw Got Rice? beat the piss out of a 2000 prelude with intake and exhaust on a highway roll on. so mod for mod, the 3.0 WILL take out a h22a, but that is on the freeway, from a stop it may be a different story. who knows. keith (fastvteccl) has it on video if you wanna see for yourself.

you are correct stock for stock, the 3.0 is definitely faster, but a chipped 97 a4 will beat a 3.0 easily.

Sorry to tell you but a chipped 97 a4 will roast you. There will never be a chip for the cl that gives you 40hp and 44lbs of torque, the only reason this can happen with the A4 is because the APR chip pushes up the boost, hence the huge gains. I have discovered recently that the A4 can easily be made very fast. But many of the mods cost much more. Overall, I think the a4 is an awesome car.

BTW the reason I keep mentioning the 97 is because it only has 150hp stock. A few years later htey pushed it up to 170hp.

Sorry to say but Im know for a fact the a chipped a4 can at least hang with a cls AUTO. Oh and by the way, it does ot automatically void the warranty. Just the warranty regarding the turbo. Emissions etc is still covered. Although the turbo would be the most expensive part.
