99cl 3.0 some insight

Can someone help me in informing me of 1999CL3.0 engine and powertrain.

Any thoughts of me buying a mint 99CL/V6 automatic with
128 000 miles at a cost of $8500 is it worth while with the high miles.

Should I look for another with lower miles?

That sounds like alot for a car with such high miles. I bought my 98 2.3 with 28K for 8900.

128K miles is pretty high mileage to start out with. Not so much for the engine's sake, but definitely for the tranny's sake.

Personally, I wouldn't buy it.

I paid $10,8 for my 98 3.0 w/ 64K. Your deal sounds like a rip off and a money pit.

I here you guys.

Owning a 90 accord with 180 000 miles the transmission is slipping for 60 000 miles wonder if the same will happen with 99CL.

I paid almost 13k on a 97 3.0 with 60k miles, loaded though. Kinda high, but granted it was from a dealer.

does this make sense

Thanks Guys, but the typical prices I see are;

$15000 to $11000 plus tax for 2.3CL 1999-1998 55K miles, 80K miles

$16000 to $11500 plus tax for 3.0CL 1999-1998 57K miles, 96K miles

These prices don't make sense I got them from most dealers and some private from the highest to lowest.

I heard cars in the 5th year depreciate a lot more. Maybe the dealers are keeping the prices for 4 year 99 models up until the spring when most cars are sold or were traded in.

^^^ That sounds like alot, especially for a car that is 5-6 years old, and they don't even make anymore. I got mine from a dealer, and I didn't pay nearly that much.
