99 3.0CL re-dyno 192.5 whp (WOOT!)

ok, so yesterday I went to a different dyno shop to tune my VAFC2 and all. The guy knew A LOT more what he was doing than the other place(see dyno forum for details).

so here's the graph, third gear run. I picked up a TON of power by adjusting the VTEC crossover to 4100 rpms instead of the stock ~3500 with the CLS cams. I'd say an average of 10 whp over that 500 rpm. The car feels great now.

I did a run at partial throttle just to see what kind of AF ratio it would be and it was RIGHT at stoichiometric (14.7:1), so there was no need to adjust any partial throttle fuel.

I also tried to go to the track after I tuned it and got there paid and went to have my car checked out and realised my drivers liscense was expired (doh!).

yeah, but you did it on a different kind of dyno and you can't directly compare the numbers.

yes, SAE correction factor 1.22

without correction I was at like 158 whp.

Up next: nitrous or turbo.. . probably nitrous.

of course this is after I get my Dr evil tranny installed and paid off.

Nice torque curve. Always good to have it flatten out. Btw, I'll see what's up with your tranny. Kind of hard for me right now since I work 7 days a week.

the 200hp is measured at the crank before the transmission and wheels. the whp means wheel horsepower or horsepower measured at the wheels which is less then when measured at the crank (or maybe it's measured at the flywheel IDK, I'm a little drunk)

thanks guys. I'm hoping to break 250 with the nitrous. probably only get around 240, but that should be good enough for a while.

So where did you get your VAFC tuned? Still haven't gotten headers so I have just been tuning on the butt dyno...that is really good, only a shade off my CLS stock, which means you must be putting down around 250 at the crank.
