Talking 98 oem cl wheels

Man today started off great i picked up a set of oem 98 cl rims for $75







next week im gonna try to sandblast them and paint them probably gunmetal.

any suggestions on what to paint them or just leave them after I blast them?

white on GM isnt really my thing.. id either go white or black depending on what theme your trying to go with your car, theres someexamples of those wheels in gunmetal in the DIY for wheel painting if your interested

Jacob: paint your stock side skirts white! it'll make a big difference! paint the ones you have on now black so then you can switch it up! how did you find a set of the 98s!! those are my favorite!

ya im hoping to paint my sides white soon before july 18th i found them on craigslist sum guy got it from his friend so i jumped on it. i was thinking gunmetal and leaving the lip

the theme of my car is mostly black and white

GM on the 98's

flat black on the 97's

and by painting the stock side skirts it'll look like you already have a full kit!

yeah thank god, those 3.0 rims are hideous

although the 99 3.0 wheels (web ones) are pretty nice.

i say gun metal what i did was sand mine and use reg rustoleum dark charcoal metallic and no clear. turned out great. if you can have em powder coated i would have dine it(since i do it myself) but didnt wanna dismount the tires cuz im lazy here is what mine looks like i kno diff wheel but u get the idea , and yea i hate my rims but not interested in hooking up or moddin my car thats what me bikes for

If you paint them black get some tire cleaner/shine to go with it. Nasty dry looking tires on fresh black wheels ugh.

dude thats all people do on bimmerforums.. noone buys aftermarket wheels for bmw's; probably because bmw has something like 70-80 different types of wheels out there. like if you think im kidding...

well you are right, but the BMW has a way bigger selection of OEM Wheels that are compatible with almost every BMW CAR.

Acura has very few. My car is 4 lug and im starting to feel the pain when looking for rims.

why replace stock with stock. well cheaper and if u bend one cheaper also then. and some ppl are not wanting to mod there cars and have them join the rice community

i was gong to get aftermarket but then i found these wheels for pretty cheap and i really like 98-99 so maybe just save after market wheels for my next car
