What are the main problems associated with this car, I hear alot of people bitching about the transmission, mine is still smooth but sometimes it feels like it is lost and is searching the gears it only does it when I am going slow, its weird but what else should I look for?

 

I too hear alot about the tranny, and I have a 98 3.0. I bought it certified from Acura so it has the 100K drivetrain warranty. It has 67K on it now and is fine. I just did a tranny flush myself and it seems to shift a bit harder.

Is yours shifting between 3rd and 4th while you're going 50-60mph? That's normal and it's annoying. I just keep mine in 3rd till I got over 60mph for a while.

 

i have a 98 3.0 cl and i really havent had any probs . except when imm driving and am coming to a stop , my tranny sorta just drops into first . and imm not to happy about that . but hey i look really good when imm driving around town

 

Window regulators have been a problem in our cars. Look into it if you are interested, i dont know much about them, i just know that they shit the bed on you.

 

Thanks for your responses, I have a little problem with my engine light coming on, I need an EGR kit, can someone explain what the point of this piece is, I know what it is I am unclear exactly what it does, the car runs the same but I know its gotta get fixed. Thanks guys.

 

I think the EGR valve is one of the recall items. They'll fix it for free, but it might not fix your engine light. It didn't for mine. If I ever have my dash apart I'm just going to smash it.
