98 2.3 brake pads change

I just got some new rear brake pads. I did some searching on how to change them etc. It's pretty straight forward isn't it, changing brake pads? Never done it before but my dad has, how many problems and or out of the ordinary things are we going to run into while changing them?

Nothing....Very easy...

The only difference between the front and the back is that the front push back in, but the back you have to twist back...Need big flathead.

K I'm doing the brake change right now, we can't get the cylinder inside the caliper to move back to fit the new pads in, even with clamps. Should we be doing something different or something else?

Just compress it. Use a c clamp or a cylinder compression tool.

Mine took about 20 minutes today. I got a bro who is a mechanic.

We figured it out, you have to use a large flat head screw driver to twist it in. Didn't know that.
