98-02 Accord Headlight Conversion...Comments - Photoshopped Image

Tell me what you folks think about this. My dilemma is that I want driving/foglights, but don't want to have them in the lower bumper area (don't want to cut it up). Therefore, planning to do this conversion, and convert the low beams to Xenon.

Here's a photoshopped image:

No "Cl-via" for me, mad props to him but not that good looking to me.

I am not a fan. Just remeber that non oem products, I.e. the projectors in those headlights SUCK, and they are not designed to handle HID output. If you want fogs, go with a bumper light conversion. I have been thinking up some ideas for my ride, and will prob start on the project sometime this spring.

No, wait. I'm planning to switch out those Projectors with real Xenon projectors. I already have the HID setup sitting here. I also did think about a bumper light conversion where I would basically cover up the clear lens and have circular 3" driving lights put in, but I don't want to ditch the clears, especially if I'm putting on a WW lip.

To do my bumper driving light conversion I still was planning to do a 98 Accord conversion, put in Xenon w/projectors in that. Since with the Accords the turning lamps are integrated below the assembly. That way I can do away with the clear bumper lens. But still I don't know how that will look with the WW lip molded on.

Again, comments welcomed!

And thanks ding069 for the post!!

you dont want to cut the bumper but you would need to cut your fenders and fabricate a mount on the outer side of the headlight

Honestly, I think the stock fogs would look pretty sweet with your current set-up. Yeah you have to cut the two end protions of your lower grill, but unless you plan on taking out the lights later, what does it matter?

Alright folks thanks for replying. Okay, I have the general consensus. Alright, I won't do the conversion with the accord headlights specifically above. I'll do them with the stock accord headlights. Should look the same except that the corners will not have the curvature of the CL's.

I know what I'll be doing now. I'll let it be a surprise. I think the car will look hot afterwards. Let's see what happens!!!

I guess we can close this thread now. I sincerely thank everyone for their response.

hello all, I am new here, and I was looking to get a CL, and I never liked the stock cl headlights, but damn, I really like what they did to the head lights up there?

I dont know much about "hooking up"cars, but can I do that to my CL ? I saw someone said there might be a problem with the HID... I dont know what HID is, but can I do that to my CL, and not have problems? Thanks, erick
