Does anyone have an h22a in a 97 CL? To be more specific I have a 97 automatic and I just bought a h22a complete swap. I am also looking into doing a 5 spd conversion. My question is will there be any wiring problems converting from auto to stick and then putting a OBD 1 block in a OBD 2 car. I know they make conversion harness for them but will there be any check engine lights I cant get rid of do to the auto to 5spd swap and the OBD 2-1 change?

I did. All the h22a owners so far have either an oBD2 engine or they were 5 spd to start with.

 

someone will respond with the answer cuz i know i've seen the answer to your question before...try doing a search on OBD1...that might help??

Youw ill have to buy the piggyback harness in order to do this. as far as the tranny goes, my friend switched his accord over in 5 hours. once you have everything out you will be able to figure it out. I am not sure exactly what he did but i will ask him tomorow.

I bought an OBD2 changeover but still have my old ecu hooked up because i used my old harness. i am actually looking on the net for a piggy back harness or haltech system etc.

 

Didn't you PM awhile ago and tell me you allready you had the swap done but you were using the CL's auto tranny? I answered your question then on how to swap out the auto infavor of a 5 speed, I'm not going to answer the same question again.
