94-97 Acura Owners, Free Services :)

Stolen from slickdeals...just thought I'd give anyone a headsup if they didn't already know

Stolen from slickdeals.net:

Just got this in the mail from Honda.... I have a 96 Accord, but this deal could apply to other models as well.... Apparently, Honda's on board diag system has a technical problem and they have an agreement with the federal clean air act to hook us up. Here is the deal summary:

1. 50k-75k miles you get a free emissions inspection and any repairs or replacements are done FOR FREE.

2. 75k - 150k miles you get another free emissions inspection, etc. BUT YOU ALSO GET NEW SPARK PLUGS, IGNITION WIRES, DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTER, AND OIL CHANGE FOR FREE !!!!!!

3. Emissions warranty has been extended to 14 years

4. IF YOU HAVE PAID FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE EMMISIONS PARTS/REPAIRS YOU CAN GET REIMBURSED!!!!

Attached is a copy of the letter..... Make your appointments now....

Enjoy

Having grey sides skirts and lips was a small price to pay for owning a 97 instead of the 98-99s I wanted.

Probably "umm sir, we can't do this work under warranty. It appears your motor has been modified" LOL

^What do you mean? Go to your nearest Acura stealership and say you want the warranty work done.

I already had the 75-150k warranty performed on my car. Was VERY nice to have done.

Don't forget too, our EGR is under warranty, so If you're pulling EGR codes and you're under 150k go get your EGR cleaned/replaced!

i have the official letter, im gonna try to find it and scan it for you guys.
but heres a basic recap of my letter.
ACURA MODELS 97 all get extended emissions warranty upto 150k and 15yrs.
If you won't pass emissions in your state and you still qualify for the extended warranty they will fix anything that needs to be fixed upto par for your states emissions.

if you have something that is broken emissions related you must have a CEL for it for them to replace it. ie i had 2 o2 sensors changed, catalytic converter, TPS, IAC. and a ton of other stuff replaced under the extended warranty.

yep its true got this service done in December didn't know it came with a free oil change so that was a nice surprise. Have about 126,000 miles called about some recall with the ball joints that I saw somewhere, but was nonexistent so they told me about this.

Sorry for the bump, but I just wanted to make sure, so I am prepared (terrible at communication). I'm approaching 150k, and I saw this thread. All I have to do is go to the dealership and ask for the extended emissions warranty service?

I'll get a free oil change, spark plug wires and ?

Thanks

What about those of us with 185,376 miles? I wish I would have known about that 35k miles ago. I've been neglecting the basic tune-up items for a while now.
