53,000 mile checkup

I just got a thing in the mail for mthe dealership, saying I need the 53,000 mile checkup. What do they actually do? I'd rather bring it to a friend of mines garage and just have them do it, because I know my dealership will take all day, and of course charge me an arm and a leg.

Good Question! Im at 51K right now and was wondering the same thing. I heard it was over $300 at the local acura dealer.

The last one they tried to give me at 45,000 was $350, so I can't imagine what this one will cost. How would I find out what it includes?

lol

i dont think you really need to send the car really into the hsop unless you need the 90k

rick dont they change teh timing belt onm the 90k? and what does it run to do it? can i do it myself? arrording to the pic i dont need mine changed to 105k is this right or should i do it at 90k? can i take it to a shop other than acura? i think they charge an arm and a leg to do this 90k check-up right?

2.2/2.3 timing belt change is at 90K miles. 3.0 timing belt change is at 105K miles.

I've not done a timing belt change on a Honda product to know difficult it would be.

You should be able to take you car to a reputable shop (rather than the dealer) for this service.
