hahaha, it actually serves a purpose though! as dose the fucking superbird/dytona style rear lol. way to much downforce on that car...

Saab had always built quirky cars that are a bit pricey, I'm not surprised they offered a 5 cylinder and few others. Volvos seem to go for a premium as well and are more reliable than American cars but less reliable than the Japanese. Their C30 which is a hatchback with a rear end that resembles the AMC Pacer sure enough, offers two 5 cylinder engines to choose from.

BMW believes the straight six is the most inherently balanced engine. I think GM came up with a five cylinder for their trucks and SUV's; I had forgotten about it.

the straight six IS one of the most balanced engines, along with the Boxer
