Is 450$ too low for my wrecked car?
I have to get rid of my car fast, and I just can't part it out. The highest bid I got around here (south carolina) for the entire car was 450$. Does that seem to low? The guy isn't coming till tommorrow, and I can still back out. Like I said previously, It was in a rollover, but the engine (48k), tranny, and all of the engine compartment are still in great condition. Even the interior other than the right door is still good, rims, both headlights, etc. still good. Just the body is fucked. If anyone is willing to offer a higher bid and come to sumter, sc to pick it up, you're more than welcome. My phone # is 763-482-6242. name is Ky.

$ 450.00 is way too low in my opiniion Maybe the market around there is different but in houston you could get 200-300 for the rims alone. 300-600 for the leather interior. The engine is probably worth around 600-1200 dollars. Transmission 200-500. These are just some prices you could get if you parted the car in houston. For the whole car you should still get 600-800 but I would take my valuable parts off and sell them myself to keep more money in my pocket.

450 is way too low man
you can make you money better by selling parts on ebay, drop the tranny, interior, engine, cluster
everything still intact and good, sell on ebay and you can get WAY more than 450, shit if you part it out on here you can get more than 450

Selling a totaled car as-is will not bring you as much money as if you were to part it out of course. You can't really look at all of the parts that are still good and say well that's worth about $300 and then that other thing is worth about $400, and so on, adding up everything and selling for the total sum. Do you have any pictures of the car? I'm assuming it has been deemed totaled/salvage. I'd say you'd be hard pressed to get over $1000 for a totaled car, even if the good parts are worth a lot more. $450 might be kind of low, but you don't intend to part it out yourself, it might be the best offer you'll get.

I know I'm gettin' fucked, but I don't have ANY extra time to part it out. I'm losing over 500$ a day that I'm not working as it is. If I didn't have this job, I would most definately piece it out. But I just can't. A guy called around today and has somebody coming to look at it tommorrow, he said he could try and get 1500 for it, but that seems way to high. I'll just keep my fingers crossed for a grand, I'd be happy with that.

EBAY, EBAY, EBAY.... I saw the motor and tranny going alone for $650. Piece it out or put it in lots, and you should get at least twice what your looking at.
