40 offset ok for our rims?

yo...quick question for you guys...Does anyone have rims with a 40 offset? A buddy of mine has some rims he was talking about selling, but they are a 40 offset...just not sure if it is doable or not on the cl.

I always heard only go with 42. all of my rims have always been a 42 offset. But if dust says it ll work, run with it, tell us how it goes.

When I bent my rims last winter, I mistakenly ordered a replacement without specifying the offset. They sent me a 40 mm and it works fine.
