3 small issues (pics)

The CL is new to me and came with some small problems that I have been trying to fix.

1- the driver side heat/ac vent is loose. It's still attached to the duct inside, but it slides down all the time and leaves a gap.

I bought some epoxy, but had second thoughts. Anyone have experience gluing to the vinyl dash?

2- Something's missing from center console or whatever it's called, under the stereo.

what goes here? where can I get one? any other ideas about something custom to put in there?

3- The center caps were all jacked up and yellow and scratched up 'n shit. I sanded 'em all up and spray painted them, but the sheen wasn't there, so i bought a different kind that said it was specifically for aluminum chrome - it had pictures of cars on the front, so i thought hell, this has gotta be it. Results:

any suggestions? or is this as good as it gets without buying new caps?

Sanding was bad idea. Polish or cleaner would have worked much beter.
A lot of people like the look with the center caps off, but it looks like your wheels are chrome so that might look a bit different than the silver.
A lot of people have aftermarket wheels so they may have center caps lying around and would be willing to sell or give to you. I think I only have two, but I'll check. They're yours if I can find them and you're close by.

i wish i had a before picture of the caps, sanding was necessary, i got rid of most of the cracks in the paint/finish. . . the yellow wasn't discoloration it was the plastic showing through where the paint had rubbed off.

you're right, the wheels are chrome. i'd like to get new ones anyway, for the summer at least. . . but for now i wish the caps would match.

i'd definitely be interested if people have chrome caps lying around, i'm in Utah, probably not close by. . .
