As i have been reading, many heads have problems with the 3.0 tranny. i have had manny problems since 2000 when i bought my 97 3.0. Im about to make my second switch because when its cold, tranny acts up in a nasty way. I think we should all write a letter to Acura to see if we can get something done about this. Who here is with me?

 

I just got my 99 3.0 back from the dealer on Friday. They had it almost a month. But, they put a new transmission in it and covered it under warranty. My car has 69,000 miles on it. They said the work was work $4000.00. They said that there was a huge demand for 3.0 transmissions. My tranny acted up when it was cold, and also when it downshifted. My advice is to take your car to your dealer and let them take a look at it. I had no idea that my transmission was still covered under warranty. They must have extended it to 100k ???? A large percentage of 3.0's are having the same problems, so I am sure yours will be covered !!
