3.0 running rough

I've got a '99 3.0 with 52k miles.
Some days I could be driving and the car will be fine, then when barely pressing on the gas, the car will putter as if it's not getting gas, than if I press down on the gas the car jerks and starts going again.
Any ideas?

mine does the same thing, but i'm at 67k. any help on this would be appreciated. would the transmission have anything to do with the jerking? i'm only 3 months into my second tranny, so i'm hoping not.
thanks guys.

yeah I'm getting teh same problem too, btu only when I'm in D4 and I'm cruising at 35-40 because D4 isn't meant for those speeds. Only use D4 if you are going 45+.
but mine engine does seem to shake a little at idle.

where is the fuel filter for the 3/0 anyway? what kind of job is it? i have same prob and going to change filter, tranny fluid, water pump, coolant(obviously), and timing belt/fan belts.....thank god pops is a mechanic!! he's a pain in the ass tho and its impossible to get him to do any work...so i wanna be able to tell him where the fuel filter is so he gets up off his lazy ass
Don't think its the tranny. At least I hope not. Imagine cruizing along at 1/8 throttle then engine power cuts back while sputtering and gradually losing RPMs even while giving it more gas. Then all at once with 1/4+ throttle the engine will come back to life and run fine.
Could a bad TPS cause this?

A blocked EGR may cause this. My '03 Odyessy behaved this way when the EGR valve was bad (jerked at very slight throttle -- 45 mph in high gear). It has the 3.5L V6, but similar design in the EGR.
i have 102k but pretty sure tune up done just b4 i got the car @90k, wires new....i'm gonna pull one plug and look at it tho...my tranny shifts nice, no major problems to report xcept a sick rattle from the roof beneath passenger visor now that i'm bumpin...oh well!

Good point, but my Odyessy did not code and the EGR was bad. Maybe the flow was not bad enough to trigger the ECU to code
Reset the ECU by taking off one of the terminals on your battery. Make sure you have the OEM reset code for your radio. Sometimes on the TL/CL's ecu's act funny... try that. If that doesn't work then go with the other stuff mentioned above...
Edit: make sure you leave it off for around five minutes to insure that you reset the ECU properly.
