3.0 mpg?

I almost forgot about my own bit of testing......... granted its not the most scientific of tests, but I ran it for myself to see what happens, and this is what I came up with


pulled nearly a flat 17 on 87 running on the "Sequential"
then ran a 17.25 on 93
then I tried spiked 93 with some octane booster just to see what would happen, I broke into the 16s... WTF


anyways, yes the numbers are high, but its a 2.2 on basic bolt ons, probably just enough to counteract the 100-ish pounds of stereo system in there

You missed the part about miles per gallon, not quarter mile times

I was going off the "car is slower on 93"comments

my MPG is around the same if not a teeny bit higher on 93, but its small enough that it can be attributed to my right foot rather than the gasoline itself

Octane boosters don't do anything to 91 or 93 gas. It only helps on 87 - 89. And it increases it by .1 octane.

well im plowing through my first full tank of 87 octane and Im at about 250 miles and have about a third tank left, so far im content we'll see when i finish it off and do the math

I got slighty less MPG (decimal places) on 89 fuel. Back to 87.
