my friend just got a mazda 6 and is calling me out. she wants to put a wager on the race so i cant lose!! i think the 6 has 215hp we only have 200. on the flipside we have the v-tech. were both heavy as hell and stock.she also has the auto-stick tranny. anyone ever raced the 6? what happened? opinions?

 

youll lose... vtech will only call for help.. im sure the mazda 6 has some sorta varible valve timing.

vtec isnt that great, espcailly your SOHC. vtec may feel sweet and give you a kick in the pants but continous varible valve timing is better for performance.

 

Yeah the 6 is pretty quick. When import revolution came through Tacoma, Yokohama had a track set up in the Tacoma Dome's parking lot and you got to test out different types of tires on mazda 6's. They're nice.

and the Mazda 6 might be a nice car but it aint a fuckin bullet either i remember reading somewhere car and driver clocked a stick shift one at like 15.5 with optimal conditions ect... so a fantasticautomatic shouldnt be to far behind the 3.0.... not the absolute slaughter we might all be thinking run his ass and tell us

my #1 advantage him is a her. i know she isn't gonna power brake she is just gonna floor it. if a get a good jump i think i can take her but i cant afford to lose this one!

The new mazdaspeed 6 is a 274 HP awd beast It's no protege, u still didn't answer what performance mods do u have if any?

 

have to research that one i thought there were only protege with that turbo that sounds like the whistler you put in your exhaust for the turbo sound. all i got is a cai (not installed) that my boy gave me while his accord is in the shop.

if she just bought her car, i would just lose to her purposly, id hate to of just spent 30k and lose to a older, what, 10K car?.. especially if its her first car and she loves it... even if you do pull a miracle and beat her dont rub it in her face or you wont ever get her titties rubbed in your face...

you might have a chance here, if her car is brand spanking new, its maybe not be properly broken in yet, and the rings may not have a perfect seal yet. if her car is new i would advise her not wait and not take the chance of wrecking her engine.
