3.0 Intake

Ok peoples, i have decided to get an intake. BUT, i was planning on getting a short ram, cause i dont think that by-pass shit really works. Peoples is telling me that it also fails, and that really sucks. i dont want to risk it. So tell me guys, INJEN or AEM. and for what car do i order it because they dont make none for the 97 3.0. what do you guys have and for what model did u guys order them? Hows the performace.

i believe v2 is a cold air intake, it is the aem verson 2. I may be wrong, but prob right, judging by all the pics on the aem site. Now to aem or injen, they are basically the same. Just pick one for looks over the other. They both use k&n filters, so there are no substantial differences. I have a carbon fiber weapon r dragon intake which IMO is the most bad ass looking intake, but i catch some shit from the guys on here cuz it is a foam, non k&n filter. Its your decision.

just go with the k&n air filter... imma do the filter and take out the resonator... its gonna do pretty much the same and in fact it might give you a low end torque unlike a cai which will give you no low end torque

Can you back that up at all? I have done that to my car, k&n drop in without the resonator and it added almost nothing, just a little noise. I upgraded to the weapon r short ram and i got a noticable increase of hp and the short ram intake air gulp. Sounds much better, and there is a much better power increase. As for removing the resonator, you still have restrictive rubber piping and tubing, not good for airflow.

ok...ii was on a budget so i went on ebay, there a guy with the call name COSMO ..or somethin like that...his business is Cosmo Racing...hes outta Canada or somethin but his business is just opening up so his stuff is SOOO CHEAP...i bought a CAI and bypass for $150 and it seems to do really good....waaayy better than stock but i donno how much it compares with AEM...i think i was suppost to gain 7HP from my cosmo one.

sounds cool, but i doubt that a cosmo gets better HP than AEM or INJEN.

I have the same k&n drop without the resonator, it doesn't really do jack IMO, the FIRST day i had it changed "I" felt like there was a SLIGHT power gain, but it seems to be more in the head
