Arrow 2-DIN head unit

I am considering purchasing a 2-DIN Head Unit with a screen. I know that i has been done before but I am just wondering if there has to be any type of modification in order to install a 2-DIN head unit. ON my 98 CL there is a tray below the Bose head unit so I am wondering if that is just waisted space that could be used for a 2-DIN Head.

Thanks in advance.

you could remove the pocket and make it a 2 din space. The only issue that I see is needing a mounting bracket of some sort. Wilp got his to fit in pretty easilly, I think he just filled in around the edges. I have been wanting to do a double din too, post pics if u get it workin

im also looking into a 2-dinn unit (and i have been for a long time now) I want to do the new eclipse nav/DVD/MP3 unit. the only thing ive noticed when i took out my factory head unit like 2 years ago, our cars dont have anything to mount to on the sides, they have this small little rear mount bracket that really wont hook on the the back of a 2-dinn unit.

Any one got some suggestions?

lol...actually...i dont know. Im sorry. A local audio shop did the install for me because they had to bypass all the bose. Im really not sure how they got them to fit but I dont think there was and custom bracets or anything. I think they just somehow connected both together and slid them in...im really not sure...sorry... (but atleast now you know it can be done..)

some dumb bastard i work with bought it for his nissan pickup truck.. and people laughed at him ALOT so he sold it to me for 250$.... fit perfect. alot of wiring tho took bout 2 days to install. works perfectly.

you can also get the entire set up on ebay for bout 800$. or you can piece it to gather for cheaper.. ive seen the monitor go for 100$ and the hard drive based system go for 150$. i got all the wiring diagrams and know how for a sucessful install.

naw you just have to hook up the remote wire to the blue one comming from the aftermarket harness adapter (which plugs into the stock car plug for the stock radio.) best buy and all them other joints try to tell you they need to bypass the bose amp....and usually you would on nissans, and infiniti's. but not these..
