2.3 heated driver's seat?
I don't have an owner's manual or shop manual. I need/want both.
Before I bought my car, I checked out the specs on the 2.3 and 3.0 CL. I remember them both having heated driver's seats. I don't have a button for the heated seat. My dealer said there should be one.
My questions are:
Does the 2.3 have a heated driver's seat?
Is there supposed to be a button to turn it on & off?
Or does the seat heat when you have the heater on?
Please reply as I have no manuals (as said above)
I appreciate your help!

so how do i know?
sorry, this is a lame ass question...
What is premium? The 3.0?
I thought the 2.3 was considered premium, and there was no other type of 2.3
Geez....I feel like a moron but I can't help it because I don't have any manuals
Thanks for the help - let me know!

Both the 2.3 and 3.0 come in standard and premium editions. The premium is fully loaded with all the options. The standard is like any other car whre you can get certain options and omit others when the car is purchased brand new. If you had heated seats, the buttons would be right next to the gear shift. That's the only way to turn them on.

Premium package include: leather seats, seat warmers, power adjusted driver seat, rims, integrated gargage door and house alarm switches, and a few insignificant nick-naks.
Heated seats have the on-off switch on the center console...and there would be switches for both driver and passenger, not just driver. If there aren't any switches on the center console...then the seats aren't heated. It's not an automatic thing where there are no switches needed.
If your salesmans hold you it has heated seats and there aren't any switches for it. Either he doesn't know jack-s-h-i-t or he ripped you off.

more info
I bought it with 12K miles on it from a Honda Dealer.
I have leather, sun roof, power drivers seat, buttons for remote entry, rims etc.
The dealer didn't sell me saying it had heated seats, I just bought it and left. I looked up all of my info on the acura web site at the time. They stated no difference between the 2.3 premium and the plain 2.3
My acura dealer didn't seem to know much either....hmm?
I have never had a problem with my mirror being fogged either. Is this another thing I don't have that should have a switch too?
thanks for all the feedback

i have a 99 2.3 also with leather, homelink, blah blah blah. If i did my homework right, i remember reading that 2.3 doesnt have a premium editon. The 2.2s did. and my car doesnt have heated seats either (not like i need them here in LA.) I dont think it was an option on the 2.3, but i will go check my manuals after i post this just to be sure. I know the 6th gen accords in canada have heated seats while they dont here, and daytime running lights, so maybe thats the case with the CL too.
if you want heated seats that bad get them done at a custom shop.

And after checking the manual I found I was correct.
The 99 CL owners manual says seat heaters are only on the 3.0
Mystery solved

Texas - need I say more?
I don't want them that bad...I just was curious because I noticed my butt was colder this winter and it just seemed strange ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Plus the fact that I don't have manuals etc. I'm in the dark. I have an 800 number that my dealer gave me to order the shop manual. I heard it is around $60.
Let me know what you find as I'm just curious. There are little squares where the buttons would be, but there are none.
Any info on the heated mirrors? I never saw a reply on those. I'm wondering if this was not a feature for the regular 2.3 or how you tell?
Thanks,
E

yeah just as i thought.
heated mirrors is only on the 3.0CL and all canadian models. so unless you have a canadian CL then no. there would be a button for it on the left, next to your L-off-R switch for you mirrors.

I have a '98 2.3CL Premium and NO HEATED seats... the manual with my car says they are only available on the 3.0 model. Dumb but true - the spaces for the switches are there... my tails been freezing 'cause we're have a REALLY cold winter this year (even for Vermont)!
