My 2.2 is getting a little noisy. (130K miles) I'm planning on adjusting the valves myself. Does anyone know what the clearances should be set at? Any tips, pointers, or pics about doing the job would be great.

Spark Plug Gap = 0.039 - 0.043

Ignition Timing = 15B

Fuel Pump PSI = 38 - 46

Idle Speed = 650 - 750

Valve Clearance: Intake = 0.009 - 0.011 Exhaust = 0.011 - 0.013

(yes thats in inches)

 

just spend the $80 and take it to a dealership. if your going to do it make sure the engine is cold.

sylthecru, I can think of a hundred other things I could do with the 80 bucks besides give it to a dealer........thanks anyway though.
