2.2 obx header leak

Hey Guys,

Hoping you can help me here. I have an OBX header that gets an exhaust leak between the header and the cat converter(I think). I replaced the gasket with brand new oem part and it still does it. I did use the stock spring kit and nuts. Does anyone have one of these? Did you guys use the stock bolts with the springs or just use regular nuts and bolts. This is beginning to tick me off.

I have checked all the other seams and they appear ok.

Thanks

Jim

Add a washer to the underside of the head of the bolt.

The washer will put more tension on the spring and bring the cat closer to the header.

I had to do this for my turbo install.

Should look like this:
