2.2 intake install

Hey there all, got a question here. What is with the tube attatched to the bottom of the intake tube? It looks like it goes to another type of filter with a butterfly valve in it. What do I do with this other filter? The intake will not fit in with the other filter still there. Yes I did buy a cheap intake so I don't have any directions so if you could help me out, it would be great. Also this other filter has a little tube coming out of it. I didn't want to just pull it out because I didn't know if it was a vacume line or not.

Sup bud...

I put in my AEM in December, and I think I know what you are talking about. Take the entire intake assembly out including that second branch of stuff. I'm not sure what it is but you do not need it.
