Question 2.2 & 2.3 rear muffler is different than 3.0 muffler?

When buying my 3.0 CL, I knew of the unavailability of aftermarket applications for the car. My stock muffler has a little dent on the corner so I thought about replacing it. When it comes to exhaust, I'm a little picky about it. I was looking for a true bolt-on rear muffler section, and found this:

HKS Drager Exhaust System (Rear Section) Acura CL-2.2/2.3L [HKS-3302-EX029]

Now looking at the 2.2, 2.3 muffler

Comparing it with the 3.0 muffler

How is it different between the two? Would the 2.x rear muffler fit the B-pipe of the 3.0??

the 2 liter exhaust piping is smaller than the v6. it won't bolt right on unless you go to a shop and weld that section on. i bought my v6 a while back and the hks that you've posted up is the one that i wanted to purchase, but a local shop told me that it will not bolt right on and that im better off doing a custom catback system.

But you never actually bought the HKS rear section and test it yourself to see if it bolts right on? Okay the axleback piping may be smaller, but isn't the flanges the same size as with the two bolting holes on the flange?

I assume that it should fit. Worse case scenario is that you end up having to weld the HKS
exhaust to your stock b-pipe. I think you should do it.
