2 1/2 piping problem.....

i just had new 2 1/2 piping ran all the way back the muffler... i still have stock suspension with 102K on it and my pipe hits my A arm which is not good.... the exhaust pro said i should either buy a stiffer suspension or he could keep the 2 1/2 all the way back to where it has to come over the axle then put 2 1/4 what should i do......

there are people who have ran 3" piping in the 3.0 with no probs. I would think a drop would leave even less room. i know on my car my 2.5" is very close to the sway bar but thats about it. Im dropped 2" in the rear also. I dont hit. do you only it on bumps? i guess if your stock shocks are going you might have too much travel. i would not bother to install new shocks wihtout getting some springs at the same time.

Any decent muffler shop should be able to figure out how to do your piping right. So now you have i/e?

guy's an idiot...you shouldnt have any prob's....k this may sound confusing, but itz simply because i dont know how to word it.....

I can understand if your hitting shit with your exhaust if you have the piping come in 1 straight line from the cat back to the muffler.....meaning there would be no bents except for when the piping would have to bend to connect to the muffler (if you would to look under the car, the piping would actually below like 2 1/2 inches lower than the car....itz a pipe running straight through your car, get it???)(the reason why peeps would do that with their exhaust is so that the exhaust gases can excape faster and run through the pipng faster without having to turn and what not, usualy turbo cars do this, or cars in those import magz)....but if all you did was replace the stock exhaust with bigger piping, then you shouldnt be having any problems....(the shape of you new piping would be identical to your stock one, the only difference would be is that it is larger piping)....

Now, did you replace your stock exhaust with the 2 1/2 inch piping, or did you replace it with the 2 1/2 inch piping and have them run it straight through???

and for the most part, no one runs it straight through, cause then if you were to lower the car, you would bottom out everywhere and eventually just bend/damage the piping and would have to have it redone.....

Dude can't bend pipe properly if he can't get it to work. I have 2.5" piping, and air ride. Tell me how that doesn't hit based on his statement.

LOL, I would have to actively try to sell it first

I am so busy with family and work, I don't have time to even drive across town to stick up my add at the place I know will have it sold in a week.
