i was thinking had anyone tryed to do i motor swap and try to put a type-s engine in a 1st gen cl i was think about doing this it would be expensive but i wil be able to run a faster

 

hahahaha I was thinking the same exact thing, considering my mom had a Type-S and i totaled it ;-( But I got all the emblems and everything i think a 1 gen cl type-s would be soo hot. With the 6-speed tranny omg...prolly get into magazine with that shit

 

someones already done this....OneQwkCL...something like that....and Hoffines already has the 6-speed tranny in a first gen....

i was wondering and i know that people have already put in 6-speed's but i was thinking if im going for the 6-speed why not go all out and get the 260 hp motor to go with it. i looked at the engine bay of the new cl's and the motor's look almost the same size from what i could see. but then again there are alot of there thing that it just fiting in there.

i'd spend the coin on the comptech headers and supercharger.

the engine doesnt mount using the same mounts. wiring sucks, and you have to shave some of the chassis so you can fit the tranny.

 

Its allready been done before. Oneqwkcl did this type s swap into his '99 3.0 CL.

He's pretty slow now considering someone stole his car and stripped the whole thing pretty much. He was a bit shady of a character. Do a search for some of his old threads. Theres pics of the swap and everything.

 

I thought about it too but 10g's for 60HP... its not worth it.

 

damn i would be 10 grand for the swap shit!!!! that;s alot of money for that i could sell my cl and get a S2000 or 350 and have low monthy payment's

 

i heard that type s swap was pretty serious he had large turbo and a shot.. then it got stolen north jersey style.. if you wana make a cl fast.. put a prelude engine in it.. don't waste your time with a motor that no one supports as far as aftermarket parts
