I was watching "World's Scariest Police Chase 5" on TBS and there was a black 97 2.2 running away from the cops at 120mph. He end up in a big ass wreck...the dude was drunk.

Police interceptors top out at 140, right? So I'm guessing the cops had no problem staying back...assuming they didn't use the 'copter only. That's awesome nonetheless.

I'm hoping to make "World's Scariest Police Chase 6"...well, after a few mods of course. I'm kinda drunk right now, so maybe I can start filming now.

nah ur not gonna make it on World's Scariest Police Chase 6....cuz i'm watching it rightnow maybe they're save ur chase last. well 120mph inner road for a 2.2 is pretty good. Oh it didnt call the car anything....or did they say "sport luxury" car...hahah jk...nah they didnt say anything about it or maybe i miss it.

the driver of the cl was hurt badly but no deaths if i can remember that has been out for awhile and they did say that it was a sports car

a kid around here had a black 2.2 and our cars looked just alike except he had the spoiler, that car was slow as fuck, good luck running from cops in that, he got a DWI the other night now cant drive it anymore.

Actually, from what I understand Acura3.0CL, 1st gen CL'S don't have very good side impact and frontal crash ratings ( at least compared to what they are now ). My memory may fail me, but I'm pretty sure I'm right.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm in a sports car. I'm WOT 24/7. I brake torque just so I never dip below 4,000 RPM.

I know I would be straying from the topic, but why in the world don't more police departments start using more heavy duty cars? I know it would be expensive, but the city next to mine has 5 vettes. Police interceptors are nice, but I think a properly moddend 1st gen or a stock 2nd gen could rip their asses out. Most cities don't have copters.

I don't know, maybe I am just really stupid.
