some kid that i used to go to school with called me out last night to race him in his 2002 or 03 GTP and i said nah im not wasting my time or gas, you'll smoke me. and then i said if i had a 3.0 if would be a different story. i know this thread probaly shouldnt be in the "1st gen forum" but how would the 3.0 do against a GTP, from either expierience or opinion. i know the GTP makes more HP but sometimes that doesnt always matter.

I say that the GTP would spank a stock 3.slow, but I bet with some mods the 3.0 could hang, you gotta remember the GTP has a supercharger which 3.0's don't have..... yet

Depends on what you want out of the deal... My dad has a 03 Grand Prix GT (not GTP), and I even with only 36k miles on it, I'll take an Acura's Ride quality any day of the week.

My friend had a gtp supercharged coupe and he always takes me off the line untill i hit about 5000 rpm in 1st gear. Then I pull away. they are fast cars, no doubt about that but I am also modded.

a gtp stock would wax a cl, its supercharged, my friend who has one can beat a modded 5.0 easily, all he has is a different pulley

yea really.. do you know what that pulley can do to a superchared vehicle. its addes a shitload of power to Cobras and Lightnings. and who ever said a CL would get waxed by a GTP. i want to see times and more proof. cuz i think a CL-S 6speed would beat a GTP.

i know right lol. the kid is 18 years old and is a junior in h.s. its a nice car but i dont give anyone respect when your unemployed and your parents buy you a nice car. sorry if i offended anyone in that posistion. but i worked for my $7,200.00 vehicle.
