1G CL sunroof replacement -other options

Okay, my sunroof weather stripping is toast. It doesn't leak...yet. It's all bubbled and bumpy. It looks terrible and is one of the first things that you see when you look at the car.

What I am wondering is if any other sunroof from a Honda fits ours. Yes, I checked the FAQ and searched, but didn't find anything on the sunroof. The reality is, there just aren't many CL's in junkyards around here and I really don't want to pay for shipping on a sunroof.

Thanks for the help!

Check the dimensions of the 94-97 accord coupe sunroof, you might get lucky and it might fit. I'd bet that it does. Maybe checking the part #'s from Honda might help too. That's the only car I can think of that would have a sunroof that would fit our CL's

Here's another option

And it didn't even cost me anything. The aluminum sheet was free, and the rest was only silicone and rivets.

Thanks for the updates, I will try to cross reference things if I can.

As for the aluminum sheet...um, no. That's one of the main features I have to have in a car, so there's no way I am going to close it up. Nice and light though, how does it sound when it rains? Did you do anything for sound deadening?

And I might do that. However, if I can get one off a similar Honda it's cheaper (and easier) to get one at Pic-A-Part. The other factor is I don't know why the seals look so bad right now and what would cause them to look like the surface of the moon on the front edge.

I will post a pic later if I can.

When i had a stage at an Acura dealership, i tried looking into replacing the rubber weatherstripping on the sun roof.... they don't sell it! It comes with the whole sunroof window, and its $$$$$

Hell yes I still have this car. I'm still not done with it, but not looking to spend more money on it except for some minor things such as; window nets, canards, front splitter, and custom made rear diffuser. I have no plans to start on it, I just get the feeling that's what I'll work on next this summer.

You're in luck. My final move back to SoCal starts tomorrow. I will be in Lubbock TX for my best friends' graduation on saturday, then take off to SoCal on sunday. I'm moving back to Corona, CA.

Perfect, I almost live 20 mins away from Corona, should hook it up with some spare parts you don't need, eh? Lol I might interior...that is if you still have any left. Hmu when you get back, I wanna see this beast already. Lol Jay showed me the video and I was like, "All motor...geesus."

As for on topic, doesn't the 94-97 sunroof fit our cars? I know most body parts fit our cars anyways...
